Notts County manager Martin Allen was happy with the point his side picked up at Exeter City last night after a 1-1 draw.

In fact, after the big number of games that County have had to cram in, Allen was thankful that his side were not beaten because they were so fatigued.

‘I am never disappointed, you always take what you can get,’ Allen said.

‘I thought it was a great game of football with two very good footballing teams.

‘We have had a very tiring six days. We were all pumped up and energised to play Juventus. I mean, can you imagine the buzz? Wow! It does drain you and take energy out of everybody.

‘We were slightly off our game on Saturday, which was understandable. We had Sunday off and we trained them lightly on Monday and did a fitness test in the car park of our hotel on Tuesday.

‘I think it’s a very good point for us. I have a lot of time for Paul Tisdale and his team, they always try and play football, this is a tough place to come, although we had a blatant penalty which wasn’t given.’
