County manager Martin Allen said that he thought his side was superb despite going down 2-0 at Preston On Saturday.
A draw looked to be on the cards before Brian McLean powered home a header in the 83rd minute, then they made sure of the points with a freak goal from keeper Iain Turner.
But Allen refused to be too downbeat, saying: ‘I thought my team played much better, it was much better than it was last week at Sheffield (Wednesday). I thought we were superb to be honest.
‘We’ve had good opportunities in the final third but to come here with two people making their debuts was absolutely superb. Yet to lose from a corner kick after we hadn’t looked in any trouble at all was difficult.
It’s a difficult place to come and win but we weathered their storm.’
