Notts County are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Adam Campbell in the two one victory over Portsmouth at the weekend at Fratton Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Campbell was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘No Jon Stead? No problem. Notts County have been boosted by the experienced striker’s goals so far this term, but Campbell stepped up in his absence, netting twice to seal a 2-1 win at Portsmouth.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Campbell for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Russell Griffiths (Cheltenham Town), Jon Meades (Wimbledon), Jordan Willis (Coventry City), Alex Baptiste (Preston North End), Brad Potts (Blackpool), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Anthony Wordsworth (Southend United), Paul Anderson (Northampton Town), Ayoze Perez (Newcastle United), Ollie Palmer (Leyton Orient), Adam Campbell (Notts County).

Manager – Steve Bruce (Aston Villa).
