Lee Hughes scored a bit of a special goal on Saturday that sent Notts County on their way to a second consecutive home win as they beat Walsall 2-1.

County looked up for the game in the early stages and Montano could have given them the lead after two minutes but his effort hit the post, soon after that Hughes glanced a header jut wide of the target.

Walsall lacked a certain something and it was no surprise when County took the lead on 37 minutes when Hughes took a cross from Judge down on his chest before firing a volley from the edge of the box which gave Walsall keeper David Grof no chance.

County made a sloppy start to the second half and paid for it when Andy Butler equalised for Walsall with a header from a Richard Taundry free-kick on the hour.

But the Magpies were soon back in front when Neal Bishop chipped the ball over the over the visitors defence and West Ham loanee Montano fired past Grof to give Martin Allen`s side victory.`
