Notts County have today taken striker Jake Cassidy on loan for a spell from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Welsh U21 international joins us until January initially and he is the second Wolves player to arrive at County following the earlier capture of Zeli Ismail.

The striker is a known quantity in League One having had three spells with Tranmere Rovers in the last three seasons and the 6ft 2in player took in 18 games for Wolves last season, before adding a further 19 matches in his spell with Tranmere.

Last term was a barren spell by his own standards, and Cassidy will be hoping to rediscover his early goal touch from 2011-12 and 2012-13 especially.

So far in his career the 21 year old has played in 82 matches (65 starts) and scored 17 times.

His best spell so far was the tail end of 2011-12 where he scored five times in seven appearances for Tranmere, and then in a second loan spell with them from August to January the following season he scored an additional 11 goals in that time.
