Interim manager Paul Hart completed his three games in charge over the Easter period and oversaw draws against Walsall and Coventry City.

Starting with the Walsall game on Good Friday, Hart explained that he was happy with the endeavour and effort of the players across the 90 minutes.

Speaking to the Official Site there was a sense of disappointment though, as he knew that if their keeper had missed either one of the two fantastic saves he made, we’d have come out with an all important win.

‘Yeah we need to do a bit more obviously, but I thought that was a very well-earned draw today and the games are coming around thick and fast now. But I was delighted with the players, I thought they grafted, worked hard, and you might argue that they put us under a bit of pressure, which they did, because they`re not a bad side, by any means. I saw them play at Meadow Lane and I thought they were pretty good, so I think it`s a great point for us.’

Hart admits that after 20 or so minutes we were under the cosh so he changed a few things around and he felt we saw that period out well and then got ourselves back into it and on top.

‘We`re just easing the confidence back into them and getting them into a situation where they feel comfortable.’

The one contentious issue from the game was that Hart, and the players, fell we should’ve been awarded a free kick with Garry Thompson was bundled over in the box.

‘Late on, I thought we had a stonewall penalty turned down. He was going to head it in, so it had to be a foul, he wouldn`t dive out the way of it I know that, so that was disappointing. But for an away performance I thought we were very disciplined and apart from the win that`s all that we were missing.’

With County picking up a second clean sheet and point against Coventry on Easter Monday, Hart was again ready with the praise, but again admitted he felt we could have got more from it.

‘It would have been nice to get a win, it`s true to say, and we do need a win, but I`ve got to commend the players for the performance, I thought they were excellent. Although we ran out a little bit of legs and a bit of steam in the second half, a clean sheet is something that`s required, so I`m pleased with the way the players have gone about their jobs. Although we worked tremendously hard up front, we didn`t have a lot there, but these are tight margins and you may get one chance, you may get no chances, but it`s the same at the other end of the pitch, you`ve got to keep them out.’

Hart went on to say that Coventry certainly had their periods in the game and put us under pressure, so especially when the fatigue hit in he knew what a strong mental effort it was from the players to protect the clean sheet so he knows he had to be happy with that.

‘They put us under a bit of pressure, we ran out of steam a bit, but equally in the first half, when we had a lot of possession and made them work hard, if we`d have capitalised on that superiority in the first half, I think we`d have clinched it.’
