Notts County are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Haydn Hollis in the two one victory over Crawley Town at the weekend at Meadow Lane was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Hollis was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Employed as an emergency left-back, Hollis delivered a sound defensive performance to help Notts County finally end their 13-match winless run. And it was the defender who set up the winner, when his effort was parried into the path of Jonathan Forte.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Hollis for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Scott Brown (Cheltenham Town), Haydn Hollis (Notts County), Jordan Moore-Taylor (Exeter City), Angus MacDonald (Barnsley), Jason McCarthy (Walsall), Jake Forster-Caskey (Charlton Athletic), Ben Whiteman (Mansfield Town), Chuks Aneke (MK Dons), Isaac Vassell (Luton Town), Keshi Anderson (Northampton Town), John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers).

Manager – Graham Westley (Newport County).
