Chris Kiwomya has revealed that he has already held talks with potential players and staff with a view to bringing them in for next season.

Speaking to the Official Site Kiwomya is rightly planning for the new season, and he admits some tough decisions have to be taken moving forward – especially as we have 15 players out of contract, and he’s hoping to have his back room staff organised so they can lend a hand on decisions.

‘Hopefully that will be done before the end of the season but I’ve got to make sure it’s the right decision when I do. I need somebody to help me pick the team and pick players and try to get Notts County up the table.’

It’s not just staff he’s looking into at this early stage though, he’s held tentative talks with potential players as well, but he admits, County aren’t the only club interested in them.

‘I want it to be an exciting season, but we’ve got to have players that will work hard. I’ve been in talks with three or four but there will be other teams looking at these players.’

Kiwomya says one of his priorities is to bring in a striker during the off season to bolster our attacking options and he wants County to have a squad that can challenge for promotion, not just a first eleven.
