Notts County have announced the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in our 153 year history with betting company Ladbrokes.

The partnership agreement with last initially for two years, but it’s hoped this will be the start of a much longer term association with the company, as they are looking to open a retail outlet at Meadow Lane.

Chairman Ray Trew told the Official Site.

‘This is an exciting day for Notts County Football Club and all our supporters, I have been in positive communication with Ladbrokes since they sponsored our Carling Cup Tie against Liverpool in 2013 and I am glad after many months of negotiating to have personally secured this deal. We are obviously delighted that a huge Global Brand such as Ladbrokes have put pen to paper in association with us as we enter a new era both on and off the field.’

Ladbrokes actually have Notts County as 18/1 to lift the League 2 title this year and 9/2 to secure promotion back to League 1 at the first time of asking so that would be one way to end our first season of sponsorship with them.

A spokesman for the company added.

‘A club with as rich a history as Notts County are a natural fit for Ladbrokes. We’re very much looking forward to working with Notts both on and off the field and wish the team all the best for the upcoming season.’
