Stand in skipper Alan Sheehan has said that nobody in the County dressing room has the time to sulk following the loss to Shrewsbury, we have to move on from that disappointing result and be prepared to stand up in the month of March and get the results that we need.

Speaking to the Official Site Sheehan agreed with manager Shaun Derry’s embarrassed assessment of the game and said that the player had to show a reaction at our next time of asking.

‘There’s 13 games left and 39 points so there’s a lot to play for. Saturday was a game we needed to win, but so is every game.’

Sheehan says that Derry more than made his thoughts clear following our last result, but we are back in training now and he’s not letting them mope or sulk about, he’s trying to keep things light but importantly getting them working hard so we can bounce back in our next game and get the result we want.

‘There’s a big 13 games for the boys, the fans and the club. It’s not getting any easier but we’ve got to be men about it, stand up and be counted. There’s no hiding places for anybody in the dressing room.’

The converted centre half says the spirit in the dressing room is determined to put this right and to keep battling on to get the wins we need and the sooner we can put the last game behind us the better, and he’s confident we will do just that in the next game and get the frustration out of our system so we can kick on again.
