Notts County are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Notts County in the one nil victory over Port Vale at the weekend at Vale Park was enough to earn them a place as manager of the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Nolan was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘After losing their first game of the season, Notts County are unbeaten in four games, with victory at Port Vale the latest three-point haul for Nolan and his troops. The Magpies manager was forced to shuffle his pack throughout the afternoon due to injuries, and an inspired substitution saw Lewis Alessandra settle matters with his first touch after stepping off the bench.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Nolan for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Brendan Moore (Rochdale), Joe Martin (Stevenage), Troy Brown (Exeter City), Anthony Stewart (Wycombe Wanderers), Levi Sutton (Scunthorpe United), Alex Rodman (Shrewsbury Town), Tarique Fosu (Charlton Athletic), Siriki Dembele (Grimsby Town), Jordan Roberts (Crawley Town), Charlie Wyke (Bradford City), Shaq Coulthirst (Barnet).

Manager – Kevin Nolan (Notts County).
