Manager Ricardo Moniz has talked of his disappointment at the loss to Preston North End last night as he felt we had deserved at least a point for our efforts.

Having talked about his disappointment though, he knows it’s still all to play for and that anything is possible in the game.

Speaking to the Official Site following the three one defeat, he explained.

‘I thought we were going to get a deserved equaliser. When we made it 2-1, we all thought we would get it to 2-2, I am bitter. I thought we deserved more. I am proud of my players, how they played the second half. We at least deserved one point. I am disappointed for the fans. Still anything is possible. We showed unbelievable character and we will be in on Wednesday to recover, to get ready for three points against Doncaster. I can`t show my emotions, I am always positive. I am sure we will get the three points on Saturday and it will all come down to the last game.’

Striker Jimmy Spencer was also interviewed after the game with him bagging the consolation strike on the night after being out injured for seven months, and whilst he was pleased to get back on the score sheet again as he continues his own return to full fitness, he knows in reality it was the result that was all important and we failed to get that.

‘I knew it was coming. I`ve worked hard for seven months, but tonight was about the team, not the goal. I thought we were pushing on well and it felt like we were going to go on and beat them. I`m now playing 90-minutes and I`ve eased myself into it with my knee. I feel good now, I feel match fit.’

Spencer goes on to say that with his fitness and sharpness growing he feels he still has more to give and that’s what he’ll be hoping to do over the remaining two games, because we always knew we needed two wins and that doesn’t change with the Preston result – it just means we need two wins from the remaining two matches.

‘I still feel I can give more and hopefully I`ve saved some for the final two games where I`m confident we will get the six points. I think we`ve always needed two wins, nothing`s changed. It`s in our hands and we still have that desire in the team. We still need to create more chances. I think we`re going the right direction, I still think we will get these six points.’
