Notts County have secured the loan extension of striker Nathan Tyson.

Speaking to the Official Site before the deal was confirmed, Tyson said he was hoping a deal could go through between the two clubs because he wanted to remain and help finish the job of keeping us in League 1 this season.

Since moving to us earlier in March on an initial months deal from Blackpool, he has gone on to make five appearances for us and that initial spell was due to expire following the Colchester game.

‘We had a small discussion and I would like to extend my deal here. I don’t want to go back to Blackpool if I’m honest as I don’t want to leave this job half done. I want to go out there and help the team because they don’t deserve to be down there where we are.’

Well the club have confirmed that Tyson has got his wish and he has now extended his deal with the club until the end of the season.

Of course following the Colchester victory, he has now played six games for us, and the 31 year old will be hoping to be involved in all of our remaining games but hopefully with a start in the upcoming match against Brentford.
