This game should be a good one. Both clubs pushing for promotion, just one place between us in the table and both clubs on 19 points each.

However, MK Dons are without a win in five games, you have to look back to the game away at Carlisle at the start of September to find their last win.

On the other side of the coin, Notts County have gone five games unbeaten and Martin Allen says the team has not hit top form yet. This will still be a close game, lets just hope it’s an exciting close game, not a bore draw.

Martin Allen talking to NEP

‘We nearly got a point there at the end of last year, but I think we’re a much, much better team now and we can go there now and win. We’re going to go to win.

‘I always enjoy going back there. The people there are lovely with me.

‘They recognise that some of the stuff they have got in place now is what I put in place a long time ago.

‘I’m very proud of my time at MK Dons and it’s the first time I will be going back there with a team that can beat them.’

MK Dons Team News:

Gary Mackenzie is available again for MK Dons after completing a three match ban, he picked up a straight red card for violent conduct in the game with Huddersfield?. Nice man.

Right-back Adam Smith (ankle), midfielder Jay O’Shea (ankle) and striker Jabo Ibehre (hamstring) are all out.

Player to watch: Luke Chadwick

Loads of experience, too good for football at this level and weighs in with a goal or two every so often.

Notts County Team News:

Rob Burch is back for Notts County again, he has been out of the last couple of games with a knee injury, but the keeper will be on the bench after resuming training, that is if Allen names a keeper in his subs.

Charlie Allen still has a question mark over his head, he was left out of the game with Rochdale due to a dead leg.

On-loan West Ham youngster Cristian Montano, fellow forward Karl Hawley and defender Sam Sodje are available.

Player to watch: Lee Hughes

You just know I was going to say that didn’t you.
