Ray Trew has thanked the fans for their input at the recent Fans’ Forum.

Trew was unable to attend in person due to other business commitments, but he appeared thanks to the wonders of technology and a video screen to play his part – although the club admit the connection quality wasn’t as hoped leading to difficulties on the night.

Trew therefore has released the following statement on the Official Site.

‘Firstly I would like to thank the supporters who attended, as well as those who contributed by email, Facebook and Twitter to what I felt was a positive and productive evening. I must apologise that the video connection that we established wasn’t to the standard we had hoped for, but I am glad that I was at least able to listen in for the most part. One question that was asked was about the board’s ambition. The first thing to stress is that I remain 100% committed to Notts County, I’m an ambitious man and I want County to reflect that. However, I do need to highlight that the club is running at a loss. It’s taking significant investment to keep us on an even keel.’

Trew says that this is not something he wants congratulating for, or patted on the back over, but he does hope it balances the thoughts of those who disallusioned that we aren’t making immediate results year on year – thanking those who spend their hard earnt money on the club because without the fans there would be no club.

Whilst acknowledging football is an expensive sport these days, he does ask fans to support as best they can, even during low times, because on pitch performances don’t affect the bills that have to go out each month and the fans can give, the better budgets Chris Kiwomya will have next season to drive towards our main aim – promotion.
