Easy Decision For Mullins

Our latest signing Hayden Mullins has said it was an easy decision to sign for Notts County again because he really enjoyed his time here on loan.

Having been with us and putting in impressive performances in 2013-14, leading to him being recalled by parent club Birmingham City to play his part in their battle against relegation, the 35 year old admitted that there was interest from other clubs, but he told the Official Site that he was eager to return and work with manager Shaun Derry again.

‘I’d heard a few bits and pieces and spoke to my agent and my family. You hear things but nothing’s really concrete at this time of the season but it’s still early as well. I had a couple of conversations with Shaun and he said that he wanted me to come down again. Having been at the club and witnessed it previously, it was an easy decision for me – it was very comfortable for myself and a decision I was happy with.’

Mullins goes on to say that his experiences with us before definitely helped because he knows the club is well run, and he knows exactly what Derry wants from the team, which is to win, and play good football so he’s looking forward to linking up again with him now next season and hopefully helping push the club up the table so we are competing at the right end.
