Defender Haydn Hollis has said he is relishing the chance to test himself against league leaders Doncaster this weekend.

The 20 year old was pulled back into the starting line up for the game against Colchester and following his performance he’s hopeful he can keep the position for this match as he knows it’s another good time for him to impress and stake a claim for a regular spot next campaign.

Speaking to the Official Site he explained that he knows Chris Kiwomya isn’t afraid to through the youngsters in.

‘If picked, it means that Chris thinks we’re good enough and I think we are good enough to be thrown in there. I think Doncaster will be a Championship team next year and we’ll see how we’ll fare against a Championship side. There’s a lot to come from the younger players and we’ve got massive respect for Chris for what he’s done. But you can’t just come in and play well once, you’ve got to play well whenever you get in the team and keep that consistency up.’

Hollis says that confidence really is about 60% of a players game, and with the fans roaring and supporting them the youngsters do get a big confidence boost from that and it is helping them develop on the pitch and learn from their errors or moments of misjudgement.
