Notts County are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Notts County in the one nil victory over Plymouth Argyle in midweek was enough to earn them a place as manager of the side of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Nolan was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Nolan`s Notts County extended their unbeaten run to five games and did so in style, picking up a fantastic away win at second-placed Plymouth Argyle. The Magpies boss rotated his line-up ahead of the game and it paid off, with his players delivering the perfect performance in their 1-0 triumph down in Devon.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Nolan for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Karl Darlow (Newcastle United), Will Nightingale (Wimbledon), Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn Rovers), Ryan Edwards (Morecambe), Tom Pett (Stevenage), Louis Dodds (Shrewsbury Town), Callum Styles (Bury), Carl Winchester (Cheltenham Town), Ricky Holmes (Charlton Athletic), Adebayo Akinfenwa (Wycombe Wanderers), Lewis Alessandra (Hartlepool United).

Manager – Kevin Nolan (Notts County).
