Goalkeeping coach Kevin Pilkington has said he was delighted to make his 150th appearance for the club, but obviously not with the manner in which it happened.
Speaking to the Official Site following the landmark number being reached against Brentford the coach said.
‘It was nice but I’d have preferred not to have been there, because Bart’s been ill for the last couple of days and struggling. He really wanted to play but he went out there and unfortunately it didn’t go for him, so I came on and it was nice. It was an odd number, 149, so it’s nice to get to the milestone and I’m proud to do it for a club like County.’
Pilkington says he’ll be ready to be called on again if necessary as he admits he misses playing.
