Midfielder Greg Tempest has said he is proud to have made the Northern Ireland U21 squad following their training camp.

The 19 year old impressed after being called up for the training camp and has now been named in the final 18 man squad.

Speaking to the Official Site after he discovered the news, he said.

‘I trained for three days and thought that I did quite well. I got some good feedback and then a text saying that I was in the squad for the game against Cyprus. I was shocked, but I’m really looking forward to representing Northern Ireland.’

Tempest becomes County’s first Academy Graduate to receive an international call up since it was reformed in 2008.
