Notts County defender Liam Chilvers has gone to join Potteries outfit Port Vale on a one month loan spell.
The 30-year-old defender has not been able to command a place in Martin Allen`s first team and so a spell where he can get some first team football can only do him good.
Allen told the club’s official website: ‘Liam has gone to get some games.
‘He was superb against Juventus in Italy a couple of weeks ago and has trained hard and worked hard. He deserves a break to get out and get some matches.’
