Notts made one change to the team that beat Bristol Rovers. The target man Andy White was replaced by Steve Scoffham. Notts started brightly and pressured the Oxford goal with a string of menacing corners. County should have been comfortably in the lead against a low on confidence relegation candidates. Baudet did have the ball in net , but the goal was ruled out for a foul on the visiting ‘keeper. Notts couldnt finish the early chances and this let United back into the match in the second half. Kevin Pilkington saving Notts twice with some great saves after neat attacking football from Oxford. But it was Notts who should have claimed all 3 points after substitute White shot straight at the goalkeeper. Notts are now 3 games unbeaten but they have been dragged down the league and now find themselves 15th. Sadly , local rivals have climbed above the ‘Pies into 12th.
