CK Wants Hughes Stay

Chris Kiwomya has indicated that he wants Jeff Hughes to remain at the club following the summer.

The 27 year old midfielder is out of contract in the summer having spent two years with the club, and with fans calling for the board to extend his contract, Chris told the Nottingham Post.

‘He’s good when he gets into the box is Jeff. A good player and one of the players that has to keep on doing what he’s doing and we’ll see what happens.’

Kiwomya adds his goal return this season has been poor, but acknowledges that he’s been played out of position, and certainly not in his favoured position which helps him get into the box more often and on the end of things.

Hardly sounds like the words you use if you were planning on letting him move on in the summer.
