With Sven now helping with all matters football, he is the Director of Football County could be about to make a dramatic move for 19 year old Matt Ritchie.
The pacey winger spent most of last season on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge and made 41 appearances and notched up 12 goals along the way which included a hat trick against the Magpies.
Talking to the Nottingham Evening Post McParland commented ‘I don’t want to remember the goals he scored against us! He got quite a few last season for a wide player. I have been tracking him since the end of last season but I didn’t know if I’d be able to get him.’
The attack minded left midfielder is seen as the ideal replacement for Myles Weston in that position and being only 19 must be one for the future.
He won’t come cheap though and a six figure bid is rumoured to be on the table.
