Notts County have announced the finances at the club are better than expected. The figures released yesterday show an operating loss of just £1,392 for the year ended June 30, 2008.
According to the figures put out on the Official Website the overall loss was around £88,000 but after the effects of bad debts and depreciation where taken into account the operating loss was considered minimal.
Former Magpie’s Vice Chairman John Mounteney told the Official site ‘The figures show that the directors have run a very tight ship and it is a creditable effort. But I have to repeat the warning that I gave two years ago ? that without significant investment this club will never make real progress.’
