Defender Haydn Hollis has been handed a one match ban following his straight red card in the game last Saturday against Brentford.

The youngster will return to selection for when we travel to Bristol City.

Speaking briefly to the press, manager Shaun Derry admitted it was still a huge learning curve for Haydn given his age and experience, and he’ll learn a lot having made the last ditch effort on Clayton Donaldson given it went so wrong but given the ban handed down, Derry will no doubt be pleased the authorities haven’t decided it was of a violent of malicious nature, it was just a silly tackle and we were punished already for it.

‘It’s lessons along the way for him and part of his education. I’m disappointed for him because he’s been a breath of fresh air.’

Derry goes on to say that he is disappointed and upset to miss him for a single game now though because he feels he has been outstanding and has started really proving why he has been so highly rated, but unfortunately in football you have to accept these things but make sure you learn from him and that will no doubt be the message the management staff make to the youngster.
