Defender Dean Leacock has talked about the work he undertook whilst on holiday, and he believes it will help him with our pre season work, so he can continue the new campaign in the same form.

Leacock was one of our top performers last year, and he’s determined that the summer break won’t affect his form as we look forward to Chris Kiwomya’s first full season in charge.

Speaking to the Official Site Leacock said that the fitness tests undertaken on the first day back of pre season training showed that he had kept himself in good shape over the summer and he believes that can only help him recapture his form and sustain it.

‘Fitness wise I’m okay and the yoyo test justified that I’ve kept myself in good shape. I’m expecting the rest of the week to be tough, although they’ll be a bit of football because we’ve got a game next week. When you do two weeks of non stop running it can get quite draining, but with a game around the coner the balls have to be out quite quickish and as player you look forward to that.’
