With most playing 39 League Two games in the 2016/17 season, this year could still see a few players break the 20 goal mark.
With goalscoring so far this season, the Golden Boot race is pretty much a five player race with John Akinde (Barnet), John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers), Matthew Hodden (Stevenage), Omar Bogle (Grimsby Town) and Danny Hylton (Luton Town) best placed to take the recognition this season.
With some sides having at least eight games remaining though a number of players could potentially make a late run on Marquis’ 22 goals so far this year but sitting on 11 goals or below I think, short of some brace and hattrick runs of form, we can now discount them.
So limited to those with eleven or more strikes so far this campaign, here’s how the table currently sits.
