Stags should have claimed all three points but were denied by the woodwork in the final seconds. Giles Coke rounded Kevin Pilkington but the near 4 thousand strong away support were left with their head in their hands as it agonisingly hit the post.

Mansfield had earlier scored twice in as many minutes with both goals coming from good work from livewire substitute Simone Brown. He first set up Wilson and then fellow striker Barker to go 2-1 infront.

Notts had gone into half-time 1-0 up as Chris Palmer curled a superb 25 yard effort into the top corner , Kevin Pressman had no chance. With the game heading to a basketball style match Notts somehow conjured up an equiliser , Dan Chillingworth stabbing in a tap in after a superb cross from Jake Sheridan.

The draw leaves both sides in midtable and seemingly going no where , unless the Summer brings upteen changes into both squads. The Stags are now 6 unbeaten and Barker knotching up his 20th goal of the season. Notts will be happy that they have ended a spell of 5 consequitive losses.

Wow. Nearly 4 thousand made the trip. Thats impressive! Got a soft spot for Notts going back to the 82 season when they beat the then champions Villa on the opening day of the season.

Yes had a good side then, a shame to see them in the lower tier. Still the good times maybe just around the corner again.
