Notts County boss Martin Allen watched his side fall to what was only their 4th defeat in 15 games on Saturday, but he was not too down hearted about it.

Glovers substitutes Andy Williams and Steven MacLean were introduced as the game drew to a close with the score at 0-0, but they combined well with just two minutes to go to conjure up a winner for Yeovil.

Allen said: ‘In the first 45 minutes we played some of the best football we have played all season. We created some good chances and moved the ball around superbly but we didn’t manage to convert it into goals.

‘In the second half they were bound to come into it but we stood up to what we expected and I thought we were the only team who were going to score. Losing Neal Bishop (to injury early in the second half) was a blow but the lads who came on did well.

‘We were undone by one long free-kick that we didn’t get out of the box. Before that Stuart Nelson had only one shot to save.’
